Cardium Compound for Wire Rope

ROYALEX Coat 140 series compounds are formulated using special grades of bitumen, compounded with mineral oil to get desired viscosity. ROYALEX Coat 140 series has extremely good adhesion to metals and forms a tenacious film that does not creep out under boundary conditions. ROYALEX Coat 140 series has mild properties, excellent water repellence, and is non-corrosive to most metals, including copper. It meets IS: 9554-1996 specification.

Applications / Recommendations:

ROYALEX Coat 140 series is recommended for open gear of draglines, bushings, bull gears, crushers, steel mills, and non-critical girth gears/pinions in cement mills, rod mills, and paper mills.
ROYALEX Coat 140 series is also recommended as a regular lubricant for wire rope operation in ships or cable car haulage.
ROYALEX Coat 140 series is approved by RDSO for lubrication of Traction Motor gear case of locomotives.
